Penrith Young Farmers did themselves proud this evening with a spectacular bonfire and fireworks display that drew large crowds of locals to the old football field on Inglewood Road. The event, held with the kind permission of the Threlfell family, offered a perfect blend of tradition, community spirit, and celebration.
The bonfire was lit at 6:30pm, marking the start of an evening filled with excitement and camaraderie. Hundreds of spectators gathered to watch as the flames rose into the night sky, followed by a dazzling fireworks display that lit up Penrith in brilliant colour.
Visitors enjoyed not only the fireworks but also a great community atmosphere, complete with food, refreshments, and the warm welcome for which the Young Farmers are known. One attendee described the event as “a proper good traditional bonfire night with an amazing fireworks display.”
The Penrith.Town team would like to extend our personal thanks to everyone involved in organising and running the event, and to congratulate Penrith Young Farmers on an outstanding evening.
With such a successful and well-received display, we think it’s fair to say that Penrith Young Farmers have truly earned their place as the official organisers of Penrith’s Bonfire and Fireworks Night for years to come.
