An anti-social behaviour injunction (ASBI) has been granted by Carlisle County Court against a woman from Penrith.

Kara Tallentire, aged 18, of Penrith has been made subject of an ASBI after being identified by Eden's Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) as being involved in crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour in Penrith town centre.

The injunction, granted on 23 July, is in place for a year and includes a number of conditions prohibiting Tallentire from entering areas in Penrith including:

Castle Park, Morrisons, McDonalds, Penrith Train station, Home Bargains, all the way to B&Q

Penrith Bus Station

Penrith New Squares, Sainsburys, UCC, Cricket Club and the Tim Hortons area

As well the above, Tallentire is prohibited from  being under the influence of alcohol or drugs in a public place and using threating language or behaviour.

Community Beat Officer, PC Green, Eden NPT said: "We are pleased that the court has granted this injunction and hope it will improve the quality of life for those in the area and who have been affected by this behaviour.

"This injunction carries a power of arrest, meaning Tallentire can be arrested and presented to the court for immediate outcome should any conditions be broken. This helps us manage offenders' behaviour more effectively and the courts have greater powers to sentence should a breach occur".
