

Penrith Small Business Hit by Thieves who Stole a Loaded Trailer and Damaged Two Trucks Overnight
A local haulage business has launched an appeal for information after been notified today (Sunday 26th October) that one of the firm’s trucks was in the yard just on the outskirts of Penrith smashed up.
The tractor unit belonging to RT Transport parked in the haulage yard located just west of Penrith next to the M6 had been dragged off the loaded trailer with the locks broken and damage to the brake chambers off to get it to move by pulling the tractor unit off the trailer with chains.

The small businesses other tractor unit was also damaged inside the cab with some internal panels ripped off and the dashcam stolen.
The thieves used a White DAF XF Superspace cab that left the haulage yard on Greystoke road at 01:45 this morning having entered the yard at around 22:30 last night and entered one of the trucks about 23:30.
In the last hour it has been confirmed that the stolen trailer has been found empty on East Lancashire Road on the A580
The trailer number is CSTR68 and the Vehicle Reg on the trailer at the time was V88 RTT.
