

Drug Driving Concerns Lead to Arrest on Bridge Lane After Positive Test for Cocaine
Following concerns over drug driving in Penrith raised by members of the public, officers from the Eden Neighbourhood policing team this evening detained the occupants of a vehicle on Bride Lane, under Section 23 Misuse of Drugs act and carried out a search.
The search was negative, but officers discovered drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. A preliminary drugs wipe was conducted by police which tested positive for cocaine.
The driver has been arrested for driving over the limit, and evidential samples have been taken for forensic analysis by police.
Eden police gave a reminder to drivers to “Remember, Driver Sober or Get Pulled OVER!”
