

33 Year Old Woman Arrested in Penrith as part of Operation Limit
Operation Limit is in full flow and officers from Cumbria Police are on the roads day and night looking for drink and drug drivers putting safety of themselves and others at risk.
Operation limit is part of a national initiative focused on Drink and Drug Driving around the Festive Period. Last December more than 200 drink and drug driving arrests during the operation.
On Thursday night, Police received information that a woman may be driving under the influence of alcohol in Penrith.
They located the car being driven through Penrith and pulled the car over. Victoria Jackson-Briscoe, the 33 year old driver from the local area admitted to officers she had drunk a glass of wine but failed to provide a specimen of breath for analysis so was arrested.
She has been charged and is due to appear at Carlisle Magistrates' Court on Monday the 8th December 2025.
A Cumbria Police spokesperson said “Our officers are out on the county’s roads today and every day seeking to stop dangerous drivers before they ruin lives.”
